Desert Heart

Desert Heart is one of New Zealand’s distinguished boutique vineyards, and is located on the iconic Felton Rd, in Bannockburn, Central Otago. The award winning wines were grown on Desert Heart’s own vines, which display the bright fruit characteristics of classical Pinot Noir. The name pays tribute to the land, because Pinot Noir more than any other grape reflects where it is grown. Desert Heart also references Bannockburn's history as the 'Heart of the Desert' during the gold rush era. It is also a reflection on the vineyard's atypical climatic conditions.

Tasting Notes 

A full, opulent wine with lots of complex, pure Central Otago Pinot Noir, the wine displays, concentrated dark fruit and raspberry aromas and flavours with complex spicy smoky herbs with underlying hints of forest floor. The palate is characterized by a rich complex, velvety structure with layers of elegant silky tannins and a well balanced acidity, culminating in a long lingering finish. A special wine for a special occasion.
